FHA Refunds
If you have had a FHA loan in the past and paid it off or refinanced it, you may be entitled to a refund. Finding out for yourself will allow you to not pay the middle people and companies that solicit you for money to find out how to do this, it is truly as simple as these instructions below. http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/comp/refunds/index.cfm The link above will take you to an area where you can check to see if you have one. OR Call 1-800-697-6967 extension 6 & tell them your fha case # & tell them you need to request an application for your refund, according to a recording today it takes a minimum of 120 days to process an application. If you do not know what your case number is they may be able to look it up by your address or you may need to call a more local office for it. They did say that your lender needs to tell them you paid off the loan. (I would guess if this is a problem due to some of the lenders currently under investigation etc... you should have a copy of your payoff or be able to get one from the county recorder.)
