Neighborhood Tips
I want to see our neighborhoods become more safe and fun to enjoy. So for that reason I am going to include things I think may help with that task. Keep in mind a neighborhood has the word neighbor in it. And first you must ask yourself, are you a neighbor or do you just live somewhere? A neighbor is someone who interacts with someone else within a close perimeter or where one abides.
So first and foremost. Say hello to a neighbor. If you don't know any, perhaps invite a few over for a neighborhood block watch meeting. Or say hello when walking the dog. Or just take yourself for a walk and say hello to at least one new person on your block. If you see someone trying to hang their christmas lights without any help, offer to hold the lights for them and pass them up while they are on the ladder. (since this is christmas time while I am writing this)
And the following links will help with some things you can do to make your life more pleasant. Take a moment to review them considering all the problems we have had in our city lately, I would hate to see any of you become another statistic.
